The Premier League 2023-24 started on August 11, 2023 and will conclude on May 19, 2024.

As many as 20 teams will compete in a total of 380 matches over nine months.

Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town are the three promoted teams from the EFL Championship.

Each team will play the other sides twice in a double round-robin format. The team finishing at the top of the standings after all the matches will clinch the Premier League title.

Manchester City are the defending champions of the Premier League, having pipped Arsenal by five points to clinch their seventh title last season.

Apart from the league title, all eyes will be on the race for the top-scorer in Premier League 2023-24.

Following the conclusion of the league every year, the player with the most goals is awarded the Premier League Golden Boot.

Manchester City star forward Erling Haaland scored the most goals in the Premier League last season. He netted 36 goals in 35 appearances for Manchester City and won the Premier League Golden Boot last season. 

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah bagged the Premier League Golden Boot award in the 2021-22 season with 23 goals.

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer holds the record for the most goals in Premier League history. He scored 260 goals in 441 appearances, including three Golden Boot awards in 1994-95, 1995-96 and 1996-97.
