The first day of the India vs New Zealand First Test match at Bengaluru was canceled due to continuous rain. The bad weather meant that not a single ball was bowled. Also toss couldn’t takes place due to heavy rainfall.

India vs New Zealand : Revised Schedule for Day 2

A revised schedule for Day 2 has been announced, with the toss set for 8:45 am, and play starting at 9:15 am, which is 15 minutes earlier than planned. However, the weather forecast for Day 2 isn’t looking great either, and fans are hoping the rain will stop.

The stadium has an advanced drainage system called the SubAir system. It can remove up to 10,000 liters of water per minute. While the rain continued, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal practiced indoors. They were joined by assistant coach Abhishek Nayar at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Rain had already prevented both teams from practicing the day before the match.

India faced a similar situation in their last Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, where rain washed out nearly three days of play. Despite the interruptions, India still managed to win. New Zealand, though, are a tougher opponent compared to Bangladesh.
