Wanindu Hasaranga was the leading wicket-taker in 2024’s ODIs, taking 26 wickets at an average of 15.61 in 10 games. Afghan player Allah Ghazanfar rose to prominence with 21 wickets at an average of 13.57, including two five-wicket hauls.

The list was completed by Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai, who claimed 17 wickets at 20.47, and Gudakesh Motie and Alzarri Joseph of the West Indies, who each claimed 15 wickets.

Hasaranga continued his dominance in T20Is, finishing as the highest wicket-taker with 38 scalps. India’s Arshdeep Singh and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi followed closely, each with 36 wickets.

Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain and Australia’s Adam Zampa also impressed, taking 35 wickets each.
