The eight-team Champions Trophy is being held in Pakistan but India will play all its matches in Dubai owing to security concerns.

Pakistan have won Champions Trophy Tournament only once in the year 2017. Pakistan are the defending champions of the ICC Champions Trophy after they beat archrivals India by 180 runs in the final at The Oval in London.

The 10 cricket teams gathered at the IPL 2025 auction to select the best players from a pool 577 cricketers.  The auction included 367 Indians and 210 overseas players. The minimum base price of a player at the IPL 2025 mega auction was ₹30 lakh while the maximum base price was ₹2 crore.

In past mega auctions, once a player was declared sold, the auctioneer would ask the previous franchise if it wished to buy him back. If it decided to do so, it would secure the player for the final bid amount made in the auction. In the upcoming auction, if the previous franchise wants to use the RTM card, the franchise that made the final bid will have an additional opportunity to raise its bid.

Some of the players who went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction include: Pritvi Shaw, Kane Williamson, David Warner, Shardul Thakur, Ajinkya Rahane, Glenn Phillips, Jonny Bairstaw, Daeryl Mitchell, Chris Jorden

As of the IPL 2025 season, the highest-paid player is Rishabh Pant, who was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for a record-breaking ₹27 crore. This acquisition makes Pant the most expensive player in IPL history. Following him, Shreyas Iyer was signed by Punjab Kings for ₹26.75 crore, and Venkatesh Iyer returned to Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹23.75 crore.
