In response, South Africa struggled and were bowled out for 148 runs in 18.2 overs. Arshdeep Singh was the standout bowler for India, taking 3 wickets.

When Team India was relying on the batting efforts of Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma, it was Varun Chakraborty who performed up to the mark in the bowling department. In this series, Tilak made a staggering 280 runs in four innings at an astounding average of 140, and Sanju also recorded 216 runs in this series at an average of 72. Besides, in bowling, Varun Chakraborty in four matches managed to take 12 wickets with an economy of 11.50, whereas Arshdeep Singh also claimed 8 wickets.
