U Mumba Fend Off Late Tamil Thalaivas Challenge

U Mumbai Match Highlights

In a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League 2024 match U Mumba narrowly defeated the Tamil Thalaivas 35-32 on November 14 at Noida Indoor Stadium. Despite a late surge by the Thalaivas U Mumba held their ground for a close victory. Manjeet led U Mumba’s offense with 10 points, including eight in raids, while Ajit Chouhan contributed with another eight raid points.

U Mumba’s Strong Start

The first half saw U Mumba take a commanding lead. In the 6th minute, they executed an ALL OUT on the Thalaivas establishing an early edge. With effective defense and aggressive play U Mumba quickly dominated. By the 18th minute Ajit Chouhan completed a SUPER RAID extending U Mumba’s lead even further. The half ended with U Mumba up 23-12.

Tamil Thalaivas’ Comeback Attempt

In the second half, U Mumba maintained control and stretched their lead to 10 points with just five minutes left. The Thalaivas struggled as their star raiders Narender Kandola and Sachin Tanwar had difficulty scoring. Although Sachin eventually scored his first point after 24 minutes it was too late. Moein Shafaghi managed a Super Raid toward the end inflicting an ALL OUT on U Mumba but U Mumba’s initial lead was enough for a three-point win.

UP Yoddhas Break Winless Streak Against Telugu Titans

The UP Yoddhas claimed their first win in five games defeating the Telugu Titans 40-34 and ending the Titans’ four-game winning streak. Super 10 performances from Bhavani Rajput and Bharat Hooda powered the Yoddhas to victory despite a strong effort from Telugu Titans’ Vijay Malik.

Early Game: Both Teams Start Cautiously

Both teams began cautiously waiting for an opening. Telugu Titans took an early lead thanks to Pawan Sehrawat’s quick points but a Super Tackle by the Yoddhas leveled the score. After an ALL OUT on the Yoddhas the Titans extended their lead to three points. However the Yoddhas managed to close the gap to four points by halftime with the Titans leading 20-16.

UP Yoddhas Take Control

In the second half the Yoddhas came out strong closing the gap with a Super Tackle by Hitesh leading to an ALL OUT on the Titans. Both teams went back and forth leveling at 25 points each. As the game reached its final minutes UP Yoddhas pulled ahead with a four-point lead. Bhavani Rajput’s Super 10 and another ALL OUT sealed the victory. Despite Vijay Kumar’s Super 10 for the Titans UP Yoddhas secured a well-earned win.
