At just 24 years old Pankaj Mohite has proven to be a cornerstone of Puneri Paltan’s success in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Agile, pacy, and reliable under pressure the young raider has solidified his role as a go-to player in critical situations.

Puneri Paltan set a new PKL record with a 253-point difference in the league stage despite none of their raiders finishing in the top 10 scorers. This achievement speaks volumes about the team’s depth and collective effort.

Mohite playing as the third-choice raider stepped up when it mattered most especially during do-or-die raids. From Struggles to Stardom

Born in Mumbai, Pankaj Mohite’s journey to PKL stardom wasn’t easy. Tragedy struck when he lost his father at 14 leaving his family in financial distress. Despite being urged to quit kabaddi to support his family Mohite’s determination never wavered.

Encouraged by his mother and sisters he honed his skills at Ganesh Sports Club and later joined Air India under coach Ashok Shinde. In 2019 he was recruited to Puneri Paltan through the New Young Player program marking the beginning of his PKL journey.

Under the tutelage of kabaddi legend Anup Kumar Mohite learned the value of hard work and self-belief. Kumar’s motivational insights helped him develop confidence and a positive attitude.
