After Sachin Tendulkar, On 15th November 2023 Virat Kohli soared over Tendulkar’s record of the most centuries in ODIs with his 50th century during the World Cup semifinals against New Zealand in Mumbai.

In the hallowed stadium of Wankhede, Kohli made his 50th 100 with a single off Lockie Ferguson. He reached the 50th ODI century with a total of 106 balls, hitting eight fours and one six. This one underlines Kohli’s skill and concentration but also pays tribute to Tendulkar, Kohli’s idol, setting a record in One-Day Internationals.
